As most of us know, climate change is both:
1. A major threat, some would say the ultimate threat, and
2. A problem foolishly dismissed by many fellow citizens in the U.S. and Michigan.
All of us have a responsibility to be informed about the climate crisis so that we can convince our fellow citizens to join us in overcoming this threat. This should be an easy issue for us, if we have information..
The forum will feature a panel of three Mid-Michigan climate experts who will provide us with:
1. General information about climate change, and
2.Michigan specificinsights into the problem.
In order to effectively engage our family, friends and neighbors in an informed discussion of this topic we need the information our experts will share with us.
Our panel will include:
Anthony Feig, Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at Central Michigan University;
Daria Kluver, Associate Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and the Institute for Great Lakes Research at Central
Michigan University; and
Murray Borrello, Director and Chair of Environmental Studies at Alma College.
Please join us and encourage family and friends to participate. The forum will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom. The Zoom sign-in information is below.
